License in 24 Hours

Previously, it used to take a week to 10 days for a driving license to be issued, causing considerable inconvenience to applicants. Strict Action Against Negligence

Transport and Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar clarified in a departmental review meeting that any kind of laxity in the printing of driving licenses and vehicle registration certificates (RC) will not be tolerated. He has instructed the selected agencies to expedite the printing of chip-less laminated DLs and RCs in all districts and to ensure that card printing material for at least 90 days is always available.
