November 30 Is the Last Date! After That, These People’s Ration Cards Will Be Closed

The last date is November 30. After that, ration will not be given anymore. Even the ration card will be canceled. Because, if you have not done e-KYC on your ration card yet, then you can also face this problem. The state government has given a big update for the crores of ration card holders of the country.

The state has clearly stated that e-KYC is mandatory by November 30. Even, if the deadline is exceeded, free ration will be stopped. Along with this, the ration card may be deactivated. And since this announcement, anxiety has increased among the common people.

Where did such an order come from?

In fact, recently, Uttarakhand District Supply Officer Mukesh Kumar said that two weeks ago, an important directive was issued by the Commissioner of Food and Civil Supplies Department of Dehradun. It clearly states that if all the family members do not have e-KYC within a specified time, the free ration service will be stopped. Even the ration card will become invalid.

The main goal of the government is to stop fake names, duplicate ration cards, fraud and misuse. Because, for many years, it has been seen that the same family has multiple cards. Even dead people are taking ration services.

Where and how to do this e-KYC?

To do e-KYC, you need to have your ration card, Aadhaar card and the concerned family member. For this, you can do e-KYC by going to any of the nearest ration shops and verifying your fingerprint through the e-POS machine. Apart from this, you can do it online from your mobile phone while sitting at home.

Meanwhile, the government’s statistics are more surprising. Because, in Raipur district of Uttarakhand alone, only 18.1 million people have completed KYC despite the fact that 22.22 million people have their names on their ration cards. That is, 4.5 million people have not yet completed this e-KYC. The last date for them has been given on November 30.

What are the benefits of doing e-KYC?

Actually, according to the government, if e-KYC is done, fake ration cards can be caught and the names of dead and missing people will be removed from the list. Besides, the real beneficiaries will get the benefit of ration only and the government will have the correct information of all the family members. So if you have not done e-KYC, then definitely do it within the deadline.
