Traveling by train is a super common way to get around India. To help folks out, Indian Railways has a bunch of cool things going on to make train trips better. Tons of people hop on trains every day to get where they need to be. And the Railways is always trying to make sure everyone has a safe and comfy ride.
Guess what? Indian Railways just rolled out something really cool. You can now travel by train even if you’re broke! Sounds crazy, right?
Yep, Indian Railways came up with a plan for regular people where you can grab a ticket and travel even if your wallet is empty right now. Let’s check out how this plan works.
Using the ‘Pay Later’ Feature
Want in on this? Just log in to your IRCTC account first. Book your ticket like always and pick ‘Pay Later’ when you pay. Instead of paying right away, you now have two weeks to sort it out.
What’s ‘ePayLater’ All About?
IRCTC rolled out ‘ePayLater’ for travelers like us. It lets you grab train tickets (even when things are super busy) without paying right then and there. You get 14 days to clear the payment. Find it on the IRCTC site and app.
With this thing, you can book train, plane, or tour tickets fast and pay later with no extra charge. No need to type in your card info or put money in some wallet.
What’s in It for You?
Normal ticket or last-minute (Tatkal) ticket, doesn’t matter, you book now, pay later via ePayLater. IRCTC books a ton of those last-minute tickets daily, so this thing is a lifesaver during hectic periods.
To make all this yours, fire up the IRCTC website or app (works on Android and iOS). Book your train or tour, head to the payment part, and hit ‘ePayLater’. Your booking is locked in, and you have two weeks to pay up.
