Namo Bharat Train: Residents of Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida and Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh will soon be relieved of traffic jams. These three cities will soon receive the gift of the ‘Namo Bharat Train’. After Meerut and Ghaziabad, the ‘Namo Bharat Train’ will also be starting from Greater Noida. Efforts have begun to run the proposed ‘Namo Bharat’ train from Greater Noida to Gurugram. The Railways have begun preparations on a war footing.
Geotechnical surveys for the proposed ‘Namo Bharat Train Corridor’ from Gurugram to Greater Noida via Faridabad have been completed. With the launch of ‘Namo Bharat’, fast and easy connectivity will no longer be a dream for residents of NCR.
The ‘Namo Bharat’ corridor will be approximately 65 kilometres long. The ‘Namo Bharat Train’ station will be located at Sector 142-168 Chowk in Noida. The corridor will begin at IFFCO Chowk on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway in Gurugram and will travel through Faridabad to Noida and Greater Noida. Currently, there will be six railway stations on this route.
According to media reports, the number of stations could be expanded to nine. Stations are proposed for Sector 54 Golf Course Road in Gurugram, Bata Chowk, Faridabad, Sectors 85-86, Faridabad, Sectors 142-168, Noida, Surajpur, and Greater Noida.
The ‘Namo Bharat Train’ running on this route will have a speed of 180 km/h. The DRP is expected to be ready in the next three months. It will then be sent to the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana for approval.
The construction of the entire corridor is expected to cost approximately ₹15,000 crore. The ‘Namo Bharat Train’ will enter the Aravalli region via Dr BR Ambedkar Marg, Gurugram, Brigadier Usman Marg, Golf Course Road, and in front of Ansal University.
