Farmer Registry: The government has launched an important initiative for farmers. All farmers will now be given a digital identity, i.e., a Farmer ID. The third phase of the Farmer Registry will run from February 2nd, 2026, to February 6th, 2026. During this campaign, farmers across the state will be rapidly integrated into this system. The Bihar government has launched this initiative.
The government has announced that districts that complete 50% registration of PM Kisan Yojana beneficiaries will receive a reward of Rs. 1,50,000. Districts with a target of 35% registration will receive an incentive of Rs. 50,000 upon achieving this target.
Farmer ID will be free
The state government has clarified that no fee will be charged from farmers for the Farmer Registry. The service fee of Rs. 15 previously charged through Common Service Centers (CSCs) or Vasudha centers has now been completely waived.
