Various state governments are running schemes to make women self-reliant. The Maharashtra government operates the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana (CM Ladki Bahin Yojana), under which women receive Rs 1500 every month. Currently, women are waiting for the 8th instalment of this scheme. In this article, we will tell you when the next instalment of the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana may be released. Recently, the government released the names of women who no longer meet the eligibility conditions of the scheme. We will also explain which women will not receive the 8th instalment in their bank accounts.
When will the 8th Installment be Released?
A recent report has provided information about the 8th instalment of the Majhi Ladki Behan scheme. According to the report, the 8th instalment is expected to be released in the second week of February. Media sources suggest that the money for the 8th instalment may be sent to the accounts of eligible women on February 15. However, this money will only be given to women who are still eligible for the scheme and have a bank account with the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) facility enabled.
Women Who Will Not Receive the Benefit
Just last month, the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra announced that many women would be removed from the scheme due to not meeting the eligibility criteria. Below are the eligibility rules that will help identify which women will no longer benefit from the scheme:
- The woman must be a resident of Maharashtra and aged between 21 and 65 years.
- The woman must have a bank account, and the account should be linked to both a mobile number and Aadhaar.
- Women can apply by visiting their nearest CSC centre, Anganwadi, or Gram Panchayat.
- The woman applying must submit necessary documents like address proof, Aadhaar card, and bank statement.
What is Ladli Bahana Yojana?
Under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahana Yojana of Madhya Pradesh, women below 60 years of age get Rs 1,000 every month. This money is sent directly to their bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) linked with Aadhaar. The main aim of this scheme is to provide financial help to women so they can manage their expenses and get better nutrition.
This scheme helps women to become financially independent and play an important role in family and community decisions. If a woman is getting less than Rs 1,250 per month under the Social Security Pension Scheme, the government adds the remaining amount so that she gets Rs 1,250. Similarly, if a woman below 60 years is getting less than Rs 1,000 per month from any other social security pension scheme, she will be given extra money to complete Rs 1,000.
