Mahila Samridhi Yojana: ₹2500 Monthly for Women, Launch on March 8

Mahila Samridhi Yojana: The Delhi government is going to announce a big scheme for women, which can make their lives even easier. The name of this scheme is Mahila Samridhi Yojana, which will be launched by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on International Women’s Day i.e. 8 March 2025.

Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 2500 will be sent to women every month through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in their bank accounts. This scheme can prove to be a boon for those women whose monthly income is limited and whose expenses are increasing.

Mahila Samridhi Yojana

Mahila Samridhi Yojana is a government initiative, which has been created to provide economic independence and empowerment to women. Under this scheme, an amount of ₹ 2500 per month will be sent directly to the bank accounts of women beneficiaries. The beneficiaries of the scheme will receive financial assistance through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) so that the process is completely transparent and effective.

Who can avail of the benefits of this scheme

The Mahila Samridhi Yojana will benefit those women of Delhi whose household income is less than ₹ 3 lakh per annum. Apart from this, women who are not in government jobs, who are not receiving any financial assistance from the government, can also become beneficiaries of this scheme.

Along with this, the age of women should be between 18 and 60 years. For this, the government has collected data from all the departments so that the right beneficiaries can be selected.

How to apply for Mahila Samridhi Yojana

The application process under this scheme will be done online. The Delhi government has prepared an online portal, where women will be able to register themselves. Apart from this, a special software is being developed by the IT department, through which the forms will be checked so that eligible women can be selected correctly.

Women can visit the official portal of the Delhi government to get more information about the process of the scheme. Apart from this, the amount can also be distributed to the beneficiaries at the ceremony organized at Chattrisal Stadium during the announcement of the scheme.

Historical importance of Mahila Samridhi Yojana

The historical importance of this scheme comes from the fact that it was part of the BJP’s manifesto during the Delhi Assembly elections. The BJP had promised that it would provide ₹2500 every month for the welfare of women in Delhi. This scheme is now becoming a reality after the big victory of the BJP in the Delhi Assembly elections.

Under this scheme, the economic condition of women will improve and they will get an opportunity to become self-reliant as well as improve their lifestyle.
