BJP has returned to power after 27 years by defeating Aam Aadmi Party in the assembly elections held this year in Delhi. Before the elections, BJP had promised in its manifesto to start a scheme that would provide financial benefits of Rs 2500 to the women of Delhi.

It has been many months since the BJP government was formed in Delhi. The Delhi government has announced to start the Chief Minister Mahila Samridhi Yojana for this. But many poor and needy women of Delhi are wondering why they got Rs 2500 in their accounts. Let us tell you what is the latest update regarding this.

When will Delhi’s women get Rs 2500?

Ever since the BJP government was formed in Delhi, speculations were being made that the first installment of the Chief Minister’s Women’s Prosperity Scheme could be released on 8 March i.e. International Women’s Day. But this did not happen. The Delhi government has allocated the budget for this scheme during the budget session.

So along with this, the committee has also been formed. Recently, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta gave the latest update about this and said that at present the work of policy making related to the scheme is going on. Only after its completion, women will be able to get the benefits. However, here too, no mention has been made of the date and time period.

Only these women will get benefit

Under the Chief Minister Mahila Samridhi Yojana of Delhi Government, the government has fixed some eligibility criteria for the benefit. Only those women who fulfill these eligibility criteria will be given benefits under the scheme. Let us tell you that to get the benefit of the scheme, women must have a voter card and Aadhaar card with Delhi address. Let us tell you that along with this, women should have proof that they have been living in Delhi for the last 5 years. Apart from this, if a woman does a government job or pays income tax, then she will not get the benefit in this scheme.
