From September 1, oil marketing companies have announced a massive cut in the prices of commercial gas cylinders. The cost of a 19 kg LPG gas cylinder has now come down by ₹ 51.50, bringing great relief to hotels, restaurants, and other commercial establishments across the country. In Delhi, the retail price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder is now ₹ 1580. However, the good news is that there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg cylinders for domestic use. This is the fourth consecutive month when the cost of commercial cylinders has come down.

Continuous cut in commercial cylinder prices

This is the fourth consecutive month when the price of commercial LPG gas cylinders has come down, bringing great relief to the businessmen. Last month, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder was reduced by ₹ 24. Earlier, in April, the price was also reduced by ₹ 41 per cylinder. This reduction will directly reduce the cost of businesses and help them run their operations more effectively.

No change in domestic LPG cylinder prices

There is no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders at present. Its price was last increased in March, when the central government increased the price of a domestic LPG cylinder by ₹ 50. At that time, the government cited the surge in global crude oil prices as the reason. Keep in mind, LPG prices may vary across states due to local taxes and transportation charges.

Prices are fixed every month

It is important to know that state-run oil companies, such as Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), review the prices of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) and LPG on the first of every month. This review is done based on the international prices of crude oil and fluctuations in the foreign exchange rate. This system ensures that prices remain in line with global market trends, providing transparent and fair pricing to consumers and businesses.
