Important information for Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries

This process is especially important for consumers who have taken gas connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. The government has made Aadhaar-based biometric authentication or e-KYC mandatory every financial year for the targeted subsidy of Rs. 300 given on the 8th and 9th refills. If the e-KYC is not completed, the subsidy will be stopped after the 7th refill. However, if the e-KYC is done before the end of the financial year, the subsidy can be resumed.
