In today’s time, many schemes are being run across the country to empower women and make them financially strong. One of these is LIC’s special Bima Sakhi Yojana, under which women are getting a chance to earn up to ₹ 7,000 every month. However, this is a scheme about which very few women know.

Actually, Life Insurance Corporation of India is giving women an opportunity to become insurance agents through this scheme. Under this, women are given professional training, and also get a fixed amount every month for the next three years. The main objective of this initiative of LIC is to increase the participation of women in the workforce and strengthen their financial condition.

Who can apply

Some special qualifications have been prescribed to apply for the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana:

Women between 18 and 70 years can apply.

Women who are 10th pass are given priority in this scheme.

This is not a regular job from LIC. This is a stipend-based opportunity, which is being given to make women self-reliant.

Important Note: Old employees of LIC, their family members, and relatives cannot apply for this scheme.

How much monthly stipend will be given

Under this scheme, women are given a fixed stipend every month for the next three years, the terms of which are as follows. First year, a stipend of ₹ 7,000 is given every month. To get this, at least 24 insurance policies have to be sold in the first year, and a commission of ₹ 48,000 has to be earned.

In Second year , a stipend of ₹ 6,000 will be given every month, but this will be available only when 65% of the policies of the first year remain active. And In third year, a stipend of ₹5,000 will be given every month, for which 65% of the policies of the second year must remain active. This scheme provides a permanent source of income to women who work hard and diligently.

You can apply for this scheme by visiting the LIC office, their official website, or your nearest kiosk. You will need some important documents while applying:

Photo:- Passport-size photo.

Age certificate:- Birth certificate or 10th mark sheet.

Address proof:- Aadhar card, voter ID, or electricity bill.

Educational certificate:- 10th mark sheet.
