There is good news for crores of women under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana. On Saturday, July 12, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav transferred ₹1543.16 crore as the 26th installment to 1.27 crore Ladli sisters in the state. Along with this, under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, ₹46.34 crore was also sent to the bank accounts of over 30 lakh women as a gas cylinder refill subsidy.

Now, the 27th instalment of the scheme will be given in August. The special thing is that Rakshabandhan is on 9 August, and the Mohan government has decided to give an extra ₹250 as a festive gift to each Ladli sister. So, in August, every Ladli sister will receive ₹1500 instead of ₹1250.

Usually, the instalment is sent between the 10th and 15th of every month. But this time, due to the Rakhi festival, it is expected that the installment will be sent in the first week of August.

Gift of ₹1500 on Rakshabandhan, ₹1500 Every Month Till Bhai Dooj

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that all Ladli sisters will get an extra ₹250 as a gift before Rakshabandhan. In August, each Ladli sister will receive ₹1500.

He also said that the government will not stop here. A pucca (concrete) house will be built for every Ladli sister in the state. From Bhai Dooj (after Diwali), the monthly assistance under the scheme will be ₹1500, instead of ₹1250. This amount will slowly be increased to ₹3000 per month in the future.

What Is the Ladli Behna Yojana?

The Ladli Behna Yojana was launched by the former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan in May 2023. Under this scheme, married women aged between 21 to 60 years were given ₹1000 per month, and the first installment was sent on June 10, 2023.

On Rakshabandhan 2023, the amount was increased to ₹1250 per month. Now, women get ₹15,000 per year. A total of 26 installments have been transferred from June 2023 to July 2025.

Till now, over ₹30,000 crore has been given to the Ladli sisters of Madhya Pradesh. Also, an extra ₹250 was sent as a special gift during August 2023 and August 2024.

Who Can’t Apply for This Scheme?

To get the benefits of this scheme, the woman and her family must meet these conditions:

  1. No one in the family should be a taxpayer.
  2. The family’s annual income should not be more than ₹2.5 lakh.
  3. No one in the family should be in a government job, whether permanent, contractual, or a pensioner.
  4. If it’s a joint family, the family should not have more than 5 acres of land.
  5. There should not be a tractor or a four-wheeler in the family.
  6. The woman should not already be getting ₹1250 or more per month from any other government scheme.
  7. The family should not have a current or former MP or MLA.

To check your payment status:

  • Go to the official website: https://cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in
  • On the homepage, click on “Application and Payment Status”.
  • On the next page, enter your application number or member overall number.
  • Enter the captcha code shown and click Submit.
  • An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Enter the OTP and verify it.
  • After verification, click on “Search” and your payment status will appear on the screen.
