Ladki Bahin Yojana Update 2026: Significant news has come as a relief to women beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. The State Government’s Women and Child Development Department issued a new government order on Friday, February 6, 2026, extending the deadline for making e-KYC corrections to March 31, 2026.
In response to continued complaints and demands from regional offices and beneficiaries, the department has decided to reopen the online correction facility so that benefits held back due to technical errors can reach eligible women.
Instalments Delayed Due to Verification Errors

A government investigation revealed that most women had completed the e-KYC process for the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana within the stipulated deadline, but their applications were left pending due to incorrect information entered during verification. These minor errors in filling out information had inadvertently resulted in many eligible women being classified as “ineligible.”
The government has now appealed to all such women to log in to the official portal within the stipulated timeframe, verify their information, and immediately correct any errors so that the financial assistance under the scheme can be deposited into their bank accounts without any hindrance.
Eligibility and Conditions for Correction
The government has clarified that this special e-KYC correction facility will be available only to women who have completed their e-KYC process once by December 31, 2025. This extension of the deadline does not include new applicants; it is only for corrections to old pending cases.
The Department of Women and Child Development has made the necessary technical changes to the scheme’s official portal so that beneficiary women can easily update their information. The department has also clarified that after March 31, 2026, no further correction opportunities will be provided, and the portal will be permanently closed.

Correction Process on the Portal
Beneficiary women will need to log in to the portal using their registered mobile number. Information related to bank details, Aadhaar number, or address can be rechecked by accessing the “Error Correction” or “e-KYC Update” option on the portal.
The government has also directed district-level officials to educate women in rural areas about the process so that all pending applications can be processed before the deadline. This move brings a new ray of hope to thousands of women who were deprived of the scheme’s benefits for the past few months due to technical reasons.
