  1. Step 1: Go to the Income Tax Portal
  2. Login with your PAN number and password.
  3. Go to the taskbar.
  4. Click on e-File, then click on Income Tax Returns and View Filed Returns.
  5. You will see a list of all assessment years.
  6. Click on the year for which you want to check the refund and go to View Details.
  7. Here, you can clearly see the refund status.

How to Check Refund Status from NSDL Portal

  • You can also check your refund status through the NSDL Portal.
  • Go to the NSDL Refund Status Page.
  • Enter your PAN number and Assessment Year (for example, 2025-26).
  • Fill the captcha and click Proceed.
  • Your refund status will appear on the screen.

  1. Usually, the income tax refund is processed within 4 to 5 weeks of e-verification.
