Summer Special Trains: Good news for train passengers. During the summer break, individuals from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, who work in major cities like Delhi and Mumbai, head back to their hometowns. The trains tend to be packed, making it challenging to secure confirmed tickets. To ease travel during this busy season, Indian Railways frequently runs special summer trains.
In this regard, Indian Railways is launching summer special trains from Pune and Mumbai to Danapur and Samastipur. Saraswati Chandra, the CPRO of East Central Railway, mentioned that due to the increased number of passengers during the summer holidays, the Railways has opted to operate summer special trains from Danapur to Pune and Mumbai, as well as from Samastipur to Mumbai.

Train No. 01449/01450 Pune-Danapur-Hadapsar (Pune) Special
Train No. 01449 Pune-Danapur Special will run daily via DDU-Prayagraj Chheoki-Jabalpur-Bhusaval, departing from Pune at 15.30 hrs daily until 15th July, 2026, and will arrive at Danapur at 02.45 hrs after halting at DDU at 23.00 hrs the following day, Buxar at 00.16 hrs on the third day, and Ara at 01.00 hrs.
Simultaneously, train number 01450 Danapur – Hadapsar (Pune) special will depart from Danapur at 05.00 hrs daily until 17th July, 2026, stopping at Ara at 05.30 hrs, Buxar at 06.43 hrs, and DDU at 08.55 hrs, reaching Hadapsar (Pune) at 18.15 hrs the next day.
Train No. 01143/01144 Lokmanya Tilak-Danapur-Lokmanya Tilak Special
Train No. 01143 Lokmanya Tilak-Danapur Special will operate daily via DDU-Prayagraj Chheoki-Jabalpur-Bhusaval, leaving Lokmanya Tilak at 10.30 hrs daily until 15th July, 2026, and will arrive at Danapur at 18.45 hrs the next day after stopping at DDU at 15.25 hrs, Buxar at 16.40 hrs, and Ara at 17.40 hrs.
At the same time, train number 01144 Danapur-Lokmanya Tilak Special will depart from Danapur at 21.30 hrs every day until July 16, 2026, stopping at Ara at 22.10 hrs, Buxar at 22.50 hrs, DDU at 02.05 hrs on the second day, and will reach Lokmanya Tilak at 07.45 hrs on the third day.
Train No. 01043/01044 Lokmanya Tilak-Samastipur-Lokmanya Tilak Special
Weekly train number 01043 Lokmanya Tilak-Samastipur Special running via Muzaffarpur-Hajipur-Patliputra-DDU-Prayagraj Chheoki-Jabalpur-Bhusawal will leave Lokmanya Tilak at 12.15 hrs on every Tuesday from 21st April to 14th July, 2026 and will reach Samastipur at 23.45 hrs the next day after stopping at DDU at 15.25 hrs, Buxar at 16.35 hrs, Ara at 17.35 hrs, Danapur at 18.30 hrs, Patliputra at 18.55 hrs, Sonpur at 19.30 hrs, Hajipur at 19.55 hrs and Muzaffarpur at 21.15 hrs.
At the same time, train number 01044 Samastipur-Lokmanya Tilak Special will leave Samastipur at 03.00 hrs on every Thursday from 23rd April to 16th July, 2026 and will stop at Muzaffarpur at 04.20 hrs, Hajipur at 05.15 hrs, Sonpur at 05.30 hrs, Patliputra at 06.10 hrs, Danapur at 06.48 hrs, Ara at 07.20 hrs, Buxar at 08.10 hrs and DDU at 10.50 hrs and will reach Lokmanya Tilak at 16.25 hrs the next day.
