Indian Railways–Good news for train passengers. In view of the huge crowd of passengers going to Bihar on festivals like Diwali and Chhath, the Railways has made special preparations. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Tuesday that more than 12 thousand special train services will be run from across the country to Bihar in the next two months. These additional trips will provide great relief to lakhs of passengers.
When Ashwini Vaishnav was making this announcement, Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, JDU Working President and MP Sanjay Jha and MP Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal were present with him in Rail Bhavan. The Railway Minister said that this time for the first time “Return Journey Discount Scheme” is also being implemented as an experiment.,
New trains and projects were also announced
Under this scheme, if the passengers travel further between 13 to 26 October and return between 17 November and 1 December, then up to 20 percent discount will be given on return tickets. This scheme will be very useful for the migrant passengers returning to Bihar during the festivals.
Many new trains and projects were also announced keeping Bihar in mind. Four new Amrit Bharat Express trains will be run between Gayaji to Delhi, Saharsa to Amritsar, Chhapra to Delhi and Muzaffarpur to Hyderabad.
Apart from this, Buddha Circuit Train will be started to connect the religious places related to Lord Buddha, which will go to Vaishali, Hajipur, Sonpur, Patna, Rajgir, Nalanda, Gaya and Koderma. Vande Bharat Express will be started between Purnia and Patna to connect the border area with the capital. Also, a third and fourth line will be laid on the Buxar-Lakhisarai railway section so that the operation of trains is smooth. A ring railway will be built around Patna, while a new railway line will be constructed to connect Sultanganj to Deoghar.
A new washing pit will be built in Laukha and many new road overbridges and underpasses will be constructed in Bihar. The Railway Minister also informed that a new train will also be started from Patna to Ayodhya, which will provide convenience to religious travelers.
All the leaders of Bihar present with the Railway Minister called it a historic occasion and expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Railway Minister.
