India Post Bonus: Ahead of the Diwali festival, the central government has announced some good news for millions of postal department employees. For the fiscal year 2024-25, the government has approved a Productivity Based Bonus (PLB) for postal department employees. Under this scheme, employees will receive a bonus equivalent to 60 days’ salary, or two months’ salary. This approval was issued after the President’s assent, leading to tremendous enthusiasm among employees.

The festive season in India brings joy to employees, and this time, the Postal Department has made Diwali even more special for its staff. The central government has already provided several relief measures before Diwali, including an increase in dearness allowance (DA), bonus payments, and improvements to the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS). This bonus gift is sure to bring double joy to post office employees.

According to an order issued by the Postal Department, this bonus will be available to Group C employees, Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), non-gazetted Group B employees, Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), and full-time casual workers. It is estimated that this move will directly benefit millions of employees. This festive season bonus will not only strengthen their financial situation but also bring happiness to their families.

According to the report, the bonus will be calculated based on the employees’ average salary. The formula for this is (average salary × 60 days ÷ 30.4). This calculation will include basic pay, dearness allowance, special allowance, duty allowance, and training allowance. However, the maximum salary limit for the bonus has been set at Rs 7,000 per month. The bonus for Gramin Dak Sevaks will be determined based on their Time-Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) and dearness allowance.

This government decision has sparked a wave of joy among postal department employees. This bonus announcement will boost their morale and boost the festive season. Receiving a bonus equivalent to two months’ salary before Diwali is truly proving to be a “double delight Diwali” for these employees.
