A large number of elderly people will benefit from this. This is considered a major announcement by the Haryana government. Find out below how much pension will be received after the increase.
How much will the pension amount be?
The pension for the elderly has been increased by ₹500 per month. This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. CM Nayab Singh Saini himself provided this information after the meeting. He announced that starting November 1st, the monthly pension will be ₹3,500, not ₹3,000. Previously, the pension was increased from ₹2,700 to ₹3,000 on January 1st, 2024.
Several other decisions were also made at this cabinet meeting. This is considered a significant relief for the elderly on the occasion of Diwali. Furthermore, no changes were made to the Haryana Police recruitment rules during the cabinet meeting. Previously, speculation had been rife that these changes would be made. Now, 50% of inspector positions will be filled through promotion rather than direct recruitment.
