Send this message to 567678 or 56161. For example, type – UIDPAN 123456789012 ABCDE1234F. After sending the message, you will receive a response informing you whether your PAN and Aadhaar are linked.

Why is linking mandatory and what will be the penalty
If you haven’t yet linked your PAN with Aadhaar, it’s essential to do so as soon as possible. The government has set a deadline of June 30, 2023. Failure to link on time could result in a penalty of ₹500 for the first three months and up to ₹1,000 thereafter. Therefore, it’s extremely important to link on time to avoid any future inconveniences. To comply with government regulations, it’s important to check your PAN-Aadhaar linking status periodically.
