Ration card is not for everyone
District Economics and Statistics Officer Jyoti Prajapati (DSTO) has been nominated as its nodal officer. Ration cards are not being issued to everyone. People from the affluent class are deprived of this card. In view of this, family ID cards are being issued by the government. The card will have 12 digits and it will be easy for eligible families to avail the benefits of various schemes through the family ID card. This card will be of 12 digits, which will contain the details of the entire family. Family ID is being issued under ‘One Family One Identity’. To get it, the applicant will have to register online on the Family ID portal.

Registration on the portal will be completed using the applicant’s name and mobile number and mobile OTP. Aadhar card is mandatory for family identity card. The application form will be filled through this. On the other hand, if the family already has a ration card, then on logging in on the Family ID portal with the Aadhaar number, a message will be displayed that your family’s Family ID is available.
Who do not have ration cards
Family ID has been made mandatory for all those citizens who do not have ration cards. Citizens can get it made themselves by using their mobile or by visiting Lokwani Kendra. Family ID is also being made by the department. Also, awareness campaigns are being run in all blocks. This year the target is to create 75 thousand family IDs, which will increase in the coming years.
