How to Submit Your Life Certificate Online from Home Before November 30, 2025

Life Certificate: November is a crucial month for pensioners since they must submit their Life Certificate annually during this time. This serves as proof that the pensioner is alive and eligible to continue receiving their pension. If the certificate isn’t submitted on time, the pension will be temporarily halted.

In the past, pensioners had to stand in long lines at banks or post offices for this, but now the government has introduced the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) service, allowing this process to be completed in just a few minutes from home.

Why is a Life Certificate necessary?

A Life Certificate is needed to confirm that the pensioner is still alive. It was created to prevent fraud, ensuring that pensions aren’t paid out to deceased individuals.

The government has set the deadline for submitting this certificate from November 1 to November 30 each year.

However, senior citizens over 80 years old have some leeway and can submit their certificates between October 1 and November 30.
