New Tatkal ticket booking rule from July 1, 2025: Indian Railways is going to make a big change from tomorrow, i.e. July 1, which will be directly related to the common people. This change is going to be made in the online ticket booking rules. Now, if you want to book tickets online, it has been made necessary to link IRCTC with an Aadhaar card. If this is not done, then you will not be able to book tickets online by visiting the website of Indian Railways.
The government is going to implement this rule to make the process transparent and easy. Apart from this, Indian Railways is going to increase the fare for second-class passengers from July 1, 2025. Therefore, the month of July is going to be very special for rail passengers. You can first verify the IRCTC account with an Aadhaar card.
How to verify the Aadhaar card
You can easily verify the Aadhaar card with IRCTC. There will be no problem with this. For this, first of all, you will need to log in to the official website or app of IRCTC. Then you will need to select ‘Authenticate User’ in the ‘My Account’ section.
Then, here you will have to enter your Aadhaar number or Aadhaar Virtual ID and click on ‘Verify Details’. Then you will have to submit the OTP received on the mobile linked to your Aadhaar. After this, as soon as you submit the OTP, your account can be verified with Aadhaar. This will end all your confusion.
How to link an IRCTC account with an Aadhaar card
For this, you will have to log in to the IRCTC website or app. After this, you will have to log in to your IRCTC account. After logging in, you will have to go to ‘My Profile’. Then select ‘Aadhaar KYC’ here. Now you have to enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number. Now you have to click on Send OTP. As soon as the OTP is verified, the IRCTC account will be linked to Aadhaar.
