Facility discontinued only in Delhi-NCR hospitals

Care Health Insurance has discontinued the cashless claim facility only in Max hospitals in Delhi and NCR. This simply means that Care Health Insurance will not settle treatment bills directly with Max hospitals in Delhi-NCR till further orders. Let us tell you that this facility of Care Health Insurance will continue as before in all other Max hospitals located in any other city of the country. Therefore, if you are getting treatment in a Max hospital outside Delhi-NCR, you will continue to get a cashless facility.

What is the facility for a cashless claim

Let us tell you that under the cashless claim facility in the health insurance policy, the policyholder does not need to pay cash to the hospital for treatment expenses. In such cases, health insurance companies pay the bill directly to the hospital.

Now since Care has discontinued the cashless claim facility at Max hospitals, policyholders will have to pay the bill at the hospital themselves. After which the insurance company will refund the amount of the bill paid at the hospital to the policyholder. This is called the process of reimbursement.

What is the option for policyholders now

Cashless facility will no longer be available for Care Health Insurance policyholders for treatment at Max hospitals in Delhi-NCR. They will have to pay the cost of treatment from their own pocket and then claim for reimbursement from the insurance company. The reimbursement process may take some time, so policyholders should be prepared for this and keep all the necessary documents hand.
