Government Offers Up to 50% Subsidy on Agricultural Equipment: Check Eligibility & Application Process

The Agricultural Machinery Grant Scheme has been launched by the government to provide farmers with modern agricultural equipment and improve their farming efficiency. Under this scheme, farmers can receive a subsidy of 40% to 50%, enabling them to purchase advanced agricultural machinery to simplify and enhance the farming process. Eligible farmers must apply through the prescribed procedure to benefit from the grant. Objective of the Scheme

The use of modern machinery in agriculture helps save time and labor. The government’s objective is to connect farmers with advanced technology and increase their productivity.

Subsidy Rates

Farmers can receive a subsidy of 40% to 50% on the purchase of approved agricultural equipment. SC/ST, small, and marginal farmers will receive a subsidy of up to 50%, while other farmers will get up to 40%.

Eligibility and Selection Process

  • The applicant must own agricultural land in their name.
  • For undivided families, the applicant’s name must appear in the revenue records.
  • For tractor-driven equipment, the tractor should be registered in the applicant’s name.
  • A farmer can receive a subsidy on one type of equipment only once every three years.
  • Applications will be accepted online through the Rajkisan portal, and their priority will be determined randomly.

Application Process

  1. Farmers can apply online or visit the nearest e-Mitra center using their Janadhaar number.
  2. After applying, the applicant will receive a digital receipt.
  3. Required documents include the Janadhaar card, a copy of the Jamabandi (not older than six months), Small/Marginal Farmer Certificate (if applicable), and a copy of the tractor’s RC (for tractor-driven equipment).

Purchase and Supply Source of Agricultural Equipment

  • Farmers must purchase agricultural equipment only from registered sellers in the state.
  • The purchase will be approved first, and farmers will be informed about the approval through a mobile message or from the regional agricultural supervisor.

Grant Payment Process

  • After purchasing the equipment, the Agriculture Supervisor or Assistant Agriculture Officer will conduct a physical verification.

  • The purchase bill must be submitted during the verification.
