With this change, DA for employees will increase from 55 percent to 58 percent, which will come into effect from July 2025. Dearness allowances will increase
For information, let us tell you that the government changes DA twice a year. Once before Holi for the period of January-June, and the second time in the period of July-December. Last year, the government announced an increase in dearness allowance on 16 October 2024, about 2 weeks before the festival. This time too, employees can get a big gift before Diwali.
Know how much the pension and salary will increase
At the same time, if the salary of the employee is Rs 50 thousand, then the allowance on 55 percent DA will be Rs 27500. After the increase, the new DA after 58 percent will get an allowance of Rs 29 thousand. According to this, employees will get an extra Rs 1500 monthly. Thus, for pensioners with a basic pension of Rs 30 thousand, DR will increase from Rs 16500 to Rs 17400. Due to this, they will get an extra benefit of Rs 900 every month.
Increase under the 7th Pay Commission
Let us tell you that this amendment is necessary because the last DA will increase under the 7th Vatan Aayog. Whose term is ending on 31 December 2025. The government has already announced the 8th Pay Commission in January 2025, but the conditions attached to it are yet to be finalized for the chairman and members.
