PMKSY: The central and state governments are running several schemes from time to time to strengthen the economic condition of farmers. One such important scheme is the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY). Under this scheme, farmers are provided financial assistance for modern irrigation methods, which helps increase crop production and improve income. Millions of farmers have already benefited from this scheme. If you are also a farmer and want to take advantage of this scheme, complete information is given below.

What is the PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana?

Often, due to untimely rains or water scarcity, farmers face difficulties in irrigation, which damages their crops. Keeping this problem in mind, the government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana. The objective of this scheme is to make better use of water resources and increase the irrigation capacity of farms. Under this, farmers are given subsidies on modern irrigation techniques like drip and sprinkler systems, so that more crops can be produced with less water.
