Gold Weekly Price: Gold and silver prices witnessed significant fluctuations in the first week of the new year. At times, gold prices surged dramatically, while at other times they declined slightly. According to the India Bullion Jewellers Association (IBJA), gold and silver prices fell this week. Over five days of trading, gold fell by Rs 1990 per 10 grams. Silver also dropped by Rs 890 during the week.
According to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,34,782 per 10 grams by the time the market closed on Friday. Since the market is closed on Saturday and Sunday, this price will remain valid for both days. In the Delhi bullion market, the cost of gold increased to Rs 1,39,440 per 10 grams. In the international market, spot gold rose to $4,392.94 per ounce.

How much cheaper did gold become in a week?
It is worth noting that on December 29, gold was at Rs 1,36,781 per 10 grams. Subsequently, there was a continuous decline over 3 days, and by December 31, the price had reached Rs 1,33,195 per 10 grams. On January 2, gold closed at Rs 1,34,782 per 10 grams. In total, gold became cheaper by Rs 1,999 per 10 grams during the week.
