Gold and Silver Prices Today: During the wedding season, gold and silver prices have declined significantly. Gold rates have dropped by as much as ₹26,778 from their all-time high, while silver has become cheaper by up to ₹143,106. Gold and silver prices have declined significantly from their all-time highs:

  • Gold: Dropped by as much as ₹26,778 per 10 grams

  • Silver: Dropped by as much as ₹143,106 per kilogram

Latest rates (as of Thursday closing):

  • 24-carat gold: ₹148,652 per 10 grams

  • 22-carat gold: ₹136,165 per 10 grams

  • 18-carat gold: ₹111,489 per 10 grams

  • Silver: ₹236,882 per kilogram

Note: Friday was a holiday, and no new rates were released on Saturday/Sunday. The next rates will be announced on Monday.

Gold Price Today
According to a report by the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), 24-carat gold closed on Thursday at ₹148,652 per 10 grams. The rate for 23-carat gold stood at ₹148,057 per 10 grams, 22-carat gold at ₹136,165 per 10 grams, and 18-carat gold at ₹111,489 per 10 grams.

Silver Rate Today
According to IBJA rates, the price of silver remained steady at ₹236,882 per kilogram on Thursday. It is worth noting that Friday was a holiday; consequently, no new rates were released on that day. Furthermore, due to the weekly Saturday and Sunday holidays, the latest rates have not yet been issued; the new rates for gold and silver will be released on Monday.

Gold prices remain largely consistent across most states in the country, although gold appears slightly more expensive in Chennai. In major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Lucknow, the price of 24-carat gold hovers around ₹1.50 lakh per 10 grams. Meanwhile, 22-carat gold has been recorded at approximately ₹1.37 lakh to ₹1.39 lakh. 18-carat gold remains the most affordable option, currently priced between approximately ₹1.12 lakh and ₹1.16 lakh per 10 grams.
