Silver futures expiring July 3 on the MCX had gained in the last two trading days of the past week. On June 5, the MCX Silver Rate closed at Rs 2,48,537, and on Friday, it closed at Rs 2,46,604. Accordingly, silver fell by Rs 1,933 per kg.

How much cheaper is gold
The futures price of 24 Karat Gold with an August 5 expiration was recorded at Rs 1,55,594 per 10 grams on June 5, then fell to Rs 1,50,675 on Friday. This means that gold has become cheaper by Rs 4919 per 10 grams.

In fact, on May 29, the MCX Gold Rate closed at Rs 1,60,911, and on June 12, it remained at Rs 1,50,675. Gold fell by Rs 10,236.

According to the Indian Bullion Jewellers Association website, 24-carat gold was being sold at Rs 1,54,238 per 10 grams here on June 5. It closed at Rs 1,47,800 per 10 grams on Friday. This means that gold has fallen by Rs 6438 cheaper in the week. The price of silver was Rs 2,56,908 per kg on June 5 and is now Rs 14,513. This means it has become affordable at Rs 2,42,295.
