Allowance Hike- Big news for state government employees. Finally long awaited notification has been issued by govt. So many allowances hike now. Actually madhya pradesh Finance Department has issued orders to revise the allowances of government employees, this includes allowances like ex-gratia amount given to the family of the government servant after his death, non-professional allowance given to doctors, home rent, travel allowance, double duty allowance etc.
The Madhya Pradesh government has revised and increased the allowances given to employees in the new financial year and has issued orders for the same. According to the order, all these revised allowances will be payable from April 1, meaning its benefits will become effective for employees from April 1.
As per notification, Madhya Pradesh Finance Department has issued an order stating that under the currently applicable rule, on the death of a government servant while in government service on 24 December 2013, there is a provision to give ex-gratia amount to the family of the deceased, equal to six months of the sum of band pay and grade pay in the pay scale, up to a maximum of Rs 50,000.
But on the death of a government servant while in service by the state government, the ex-gratia grant will be approved to the family of the deceased, equal to six times the salary payable to the deceased government servant as per the Pay Revision Rules 2017, up to a maximum of Rs 1,25,000.
Similarly, the Finance Department has revised House Rent Allowance, Travel Fare Allowance and issued orders for newly approved rates. The Government has also revised the Double Duty Allowance, under which it will be determined on the basis of the equivalent of one pay increment payable on the additional post for which the Government servant has performed the work or the initial basic pay in the pay scale (Matrix Level) of the next post, whichever is less, as per the Recruitment Rules from his original post.
