What did the government say about the increase in the instalment amount?
Whether the central government will increase the instalment amount or not remains a big question. The government told the Lok Sabha that there is no consideration for increasing the amount of financial assistance in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has shared important information in Parliament during the monsoon session.

He said that under this scheme, more than Rs 3.90 lakh crore has been released to the farmers in 20 instalments. The central government started this scheme in the year 2019. Under this scheme, Rs 6,000 is transferred in three instalments of Rs 2,000 annually. The interval of each instalment is four months.
When was the 20th instalment leased
The central government released the 20th instalment of Rs 2,000 on 2 August 2025. 9.7 crore farmers got the benefit of this instalment. The benefit of the instalments is available to the same farmer who has done work like e-KYC and land verification. If you have not done this work, then do not delay.
