PM KISAN SAMMAN NIDHI YOJANA – The question of how much the amount received by farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will increase remains a major one. Many farmer organisations are demanding an increase in the amount under this scheme to Rs. 4,000. Currently, employees receive Rs. 2,000 in each instalment.
The scheme has been in place for almost seven years, but the amount has not been increased at all. While assurances are issued to farmers’ organisations, the results remain inconclusive. Will the instalment amount be increased?
The central government will increase the instalment amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to Rs. 4,000. Many questions are surfacing. Farmers or organisations have long demanded an increase in the amount. Farmers have even submitted an official memorandum regarding this. However, there seems to be no sign of the government increasing this amount.
If the instalment of the scheme is Rs. 4,000, then Rs. 12,000 will be given annually. The government will have to pay tinstalmentseevery every year. The government has set a gap of four months between each ininstalmentCurrently, the government pays Rs. 2,000 in each instalment. Doubling the amount will impact the government’s revenue. Each eligible farmer will have to be provided with s. 4,000 as an instalment.
Waiting for the Next Instalment
Small and marginal farmers are eagerly awaiting the 21st instalment of this scheme. The Modi government can transfer the instalment money to farmers’ accounts any day now. The money will be sent directly to farmers’ accounts through DBT. It’s expected that the next instalment will be sent by November 7, 2025. Farmers can easily check whether the instalment has arrived in their accounts.
This means farmers won’t face any difficulties. They can check their status by visiting the official website. The 20th instalment was released on August 2, 2025. Since then, farmers have been waiting for the next instalment.
