The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization has recently issued a circular in which the process of linking Aadhaar with UAN has been made very simple. Now, if the name, date of birth, and gender recorded in your Universal Account Number completely match the Aadhaar card, then you can directly link Aadhaar with UAN with the help of your employer. For this, the KYC, i.e., Know Your Customer, feature will be used on the EPFO portal. This process has been made digital and involves less paperwork.

The joint declaration facility will make the process of correcting details easy
Many times, there is a difference in the name, date of birth, or gender in Aadhaar and UAN records. Earlier in such a situation, one had to go to the UIDAI center, but now EPFO has started the “Joint Declaration” facility. Under this, the employer can submit a request online and correct the wrong details. With the advent of this facility, the need for manual processes has been eliminated to a great extent, and both time and effort of the employees will be saved.

This new initiative of EPFO is an important step towards providing timely PF services to employees.
