Just before the Diwali 2025, government has taken some significant steps to solve some serious problems related to farming. With this decisions, farmers will be benefited in the near future. After an important meeting, Union minister has issued some strict instructions. Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan held a high-level meeting at the Collectorate office of his parliamentary constituency Raisen district and took several important decisions in the interest of farmers.
What CM has instructed?
During the meeting, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the availability of fertilizers in the district and instructed district magistrates to ensure that farmers do not face any shortages. He said that farmers should not be required to stand in lines and that the distribution system should be designed to ensure ease for farmers. Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued strict instructions to ensure complete information about DAP fertilizer needs and to prevent black marketing and diversion. He directed the collector to develop a specific action plan to address fertilizer needs and distribution arrangements so that farmers do not face any problems.
The Union Minister also said that farmers should be regularly informed about fertilizer availability on social media to reassure them that there is no shortage. He said that officials should take farmers’ concerns regarding pigeon pea, soybean, and maize very seriously. Regarding the crop insurance scheme, Shivraj Singh instructed officials to accurately assess soybean crop losses and ensure farmers receive claims as quickly as possible. He said that an experimental crop harvest survey should be conducted to accurately assess the crop, so that farmers can receive appropriate compensation.
CM visited flood affected areas
Apart from this, Shivraj Singh had recently visited the flood affected areas, where he assured to speedily implement the provision of Rs 1.60 lakh per house for repair and construction of houses of flood victims in collaboration with the Rural Development Ministry of the Central Government.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed the officials to hold a meeting with the nodal officers from the states associated with the ‘Pulses Self-Reliance Mission’ to ensure timely implementation of the mission so that the mission can be implemented successfully.
