The Bihar government has launched a cutting-edge scheme, the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, to financially empower women. Under this scheme, an initial amount of ₹10,000 is being transferred directly to women’s bank accounts. Later, they will be provided assistance of up to ₹2 lakh in two phases.

Last Friday, September 26th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the first installment of this scheme, under which funds have been successfully transferred to the accounts of approximately 7.5 million women. If you filled out the application form for this scheme but have not yet received the money, we will tell you how and where you can file a complaint.

First, check the status of the scheme online

If you are from Bihar and have not received the first installment of the Mahila Rojgar Yojana, you should check the status before filing a complaint. To do this, you can quickly check your registration status by visiting the Bihar government’s e-Kalyan portal.

Entering your registration number on the portal will provide clear information about whether the funds have been credited to your account or are still pending. You can also verify this by checking the entry in your bank passbook. If the funds haven’t been credited to your account, you can file a complaint as the next step.

Where to file a complaint if the funds haven’t arrived

If the status on the e-Kalyan portal is correct or you are certain you haven’t received the funds, you can file your complaint at these key locations:

1. At the Block and District Level

The funds for this scheme are released by the Block Women Development Officer (CDPO/LSC) or the District Social Welfare Office. Therefore, you can file your complaint directly at these offices.

2. Helpline Number

You can also report your problem by calling the Bihar Women Welfare/Social Welfare Department’s toll-free number 1800-345-6262 or the e-Kalyan helpline numbers 0612-2545002, 2546529.

3. Online Complaint Portal

The easiest and most transparent way is to file a complaint online by visiting the Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Portal (janshikayat.bihar.gov.in). Here, you can provide a detailed description of your problem and obtain a complaint number, making it easier to track progress.

In simple terms, if ₹10,000 hasn’t been deposited into your account, first check the status on the e-Kalyan portal, then visit the bank or block office, and, if necessary, file a complaint online by calling the provided helpline number or portal. This will ensure you receive timely assistance.
