Roy committed suicide this evening in his office in Anepalya, Bengaluru. Ashoknagar police have reached the spot. The police team is thoroughly investigating the matter. The Income Tax team had started a search operation at his premises earlier today.
Why did he shoot himself?
According to the information emerging, he was under considerable stress due to the Income Tax investigation. Income Tax officials had conducted searches at several locations today. During this time, he shot himself with a pistol in front of the Income Tax team. After being shot, CJ Roy was seriously injured, and the Income Tax officials immediately rushed him to the hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
