Bullet Train- New Train Between Agra and Mathura Announced, Trains to Run at 350 Kmph

: Good news is here. The bullet train is set to link three of the five urban centers, or industrial townships, established by the Yamuna Authority. The initiative between Delhi and Varanasi aims to construct bullet train stations in Itauli village, close to the Raya Urban Center in Mathura, and in Etmadpur Madra village, near the Agra Urban Center. The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited () has started the process of identifying land in these areas, intending to create revenue through the development of the region.

On Monday, representatives from NHSRCL’s consulting firm, Knight Frank, met with Yamuna Authority ACEO Shailendra Bhatia to go over the alignment of the route and the locations of the stations. He mentioned that they require around 250 acres or more of land at both the Raya Urban Center and the Agra Urban Center. This land will be utilized for both residential and commercial projects.

This will also help generate extra revenue for the bullet train initiative. Development around the stations will also be feasible. A consulting firm has reached out to the Agra Development Authority regarding this matter. The Inner Ring Road will already link the Agra Urban Center to this bullet train station, which is proposed to be located near the entrance of the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.

The company has also asked for time to present the project to Yamuna Authority CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh. CEO Shailendra Bhatia stated that the company has been requested to provide the complete plan in advance so that a presentation can be arranged.
