Most of these 4G stations are a part of the ongoing 1 lakh 4G tower deployment. By June 2025, the 4G towers will be up and running, and then 5G will take over. In addition to saying April as customer service month, BSNL plans to roll out 5G within the next three months.

The construction of towers started in a number of state capitals, including Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Kolkata, Patna, Hyderabad, and Chennai. These are primarily 4G sites, which are a part of the current deployment of 1 lakh 4G sites, according to a news story by BSNL officials.

The report states that BSNL intends to formally launch 5G operations within the next three months. In telecom circles where BSNL is well-established, network infrastructure is now being tested. “We are also putting out base transceiver stations (BTS) in other places like Kanpur, Pune, and Vijayawada,” officials were cited as saying.

April has been declared as Customer Service Month by BSNL.
Also, BSNL announced April to be “Customer Service Month,” via the company’s official X account. The objective of this national project is to enhance the customer experience by proactively addressing service feedback.

In order to address important concerns including mobile network quality, fiber broadband (FTTH) and leased circuits/MPLS reliability, billing transparency, and expedited customer complaint response, the project aims to re-engage customers in rural, urban, enterprise, and retail segments.
As part of its long-standing commitment to service quality and ‘customer first’, all BSNL circles, business areas, and units will actively participate in this month-long engagement effort,” the official statement from BSNL stated, according to a report by ET Telecom.
CMD focuses the rollout of 4G and 5G nationally.
The telecom PSU declared in April that it will use its website, social media accounts, customer forums, and direct outreach to gather input from all touchpoints. Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Robert J. Ravi will consider this input.
