The central and state governments are continuously running many schemes to empower women in the country. In this episode, the Bihar government has also taken a big step. Under the ‘Mahila Rojgar Yojana’, an amount of ₹ 10,000 will be sent directly to the bank accounts of the women of the state to make them financially strong. With this initiative, women will be able to become self-reliant, and new avenues of employment will open for them.

When will the money come into the account
The registration process for this scheme started on September 7. The Bihar government has made full preparations since September 15, an amount of ₹ 10,000 to the accounts of eligible women. With this amount given by the government, women can start their small businesses and take a step towards self-reliance. The government has not set any specific limit for this scheme, so that more and more women can take advantage of it.
Documents required for the scheme
Like any government scheme, some terms and conditions have also been fixed for the Mahila Rojgar Yojana. To apply for this scheme, women must have an Aadhaar card. Women who do not have an Aadhar card will not be able to apply for this scheme.
How to apply
The application process has been kept very straightforward and simple, so that every woman can easily take advantage of it.

Urban women
Women who live in urban areas can apply online for this scheme. They have to go to a designated portal and fill out their form.
Rural women
Women living in rural areas have to go to the cluster-level union and submit the offline application form. This arrangement has been made so that women can easily apply even in remote areas.
This scheme can become a great support for the women of Bihar, so that they will not only be financially strong, but their role in society will also be more empowered.
