If you take a free ration and all family members above five years are listed in the ration card, but they have not done KYC, then you will not get ration from this month.
Out of 20 lakh consumers using the free ration system, about 1.25 lakh have had their ration stopped this time. The District Supply Officer (DSO) has told these consumers to contact their ration dealers and complete their KYC. Because of KYC and ration distribution work, the server is running slowly, so consumers are facing problems.
Now Ration Will Be Distributed in Two Shifts
To stop unfair practices by ration dealers, ration will now be given in two shifts. The timings will be 8 AM to 12 Noon and 2 PM to 6 PM. After the time is over, the e-pass (electronic point of sale) will automatically close. No consumer’s thumb impression will be allowed after the shift ends.
KYC of about three lakh consumers in the capital has not been done. The number of children under five years is 1.75 lakh. Food grains for children will not be stopped. Ration of about 1.25 lakh adult consumers has been stopped because their KYC is not updated.
Card holders should go to the ration dealer with their Aadhaar card and update their KYC. The server has been working fine for the last two days, but sometimes the e-pass is slow due to network problems.
