Big Update for Bihar Women: ₹10,000 Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana Application Deadline Ends on Dec 31, 2025

Mahila Rojgar Yojana (5)

If you are a resident of Bihar and haven’t yet benefited from the Chief Minister’s Women’s Employment Scheme, you have very little time left. The Nitish Kumar government has clarified that the deadline for applying for the ₹10,000 financial assistance under this scheme is December 31, 2025. It is considered one of Bihar’s most successful and significant schemes for women’s empowerment. If you also want to become self-reliant and start your own small business, applying before this deadline should be your top priority.

Portal will close after December 31

The Chief Minister’s Women’s Employment Scheme has brought about a significant change in the economic and social structure of Bihar. According to the latest update released by the administration, no new applications will be accepted after December 31, 2025. The scope of the scheme has expanded significantly, so the government will now focus on processing the applications received and distributing benefits.

Both the portal and the offline process will be completely closed after this deadline. If you haven’t yet filled out your form, don’t wait for last-minute technical glitches and submit your strong claim today. Only women who apply by this date will be processed for further processing.

How to Apply

The government has set a mandatory and strict condition for availing the benefits of this scheme. Without this, you cannot receive the ₹10,000 amount. For women in rural areas, the application process will be completed through their nearest Village Organization. You will need to go there and express your interest and fill out the necessary forms.

Women in urban areas can apply online by visiting the official Jeevika website. However, remember, before applying, you must be an active member of a Jeevika Self Help Group. You can get complete information about eligibility and required documents by visiting the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana’ section of the Jeevika portal.

Help is available for these professions

The government is not only providing financial assistance, but also offering 18 different promising career options to empower women. These options are designed so that women can start work near their homes.

Handicrafts and home industries:– Sewing, incense stick making, candle making, or papad and pickle making.

Retail and shops:– Small grocery stores, beauty parlors, or bangle shops.

Agriculture and animal husbandry: –Mushroom production, poultry farming, goat rearing, or flower nurseries.

The primary purpose of this initial ₹10,000 assistance is to rescue women from the clutches of local moneylenders and make them financially independent.

Required Documents and Eligibility

Before applying, have certain documents ready to ensure your form is not rejected. You must have a Bihar Permanent Residence Certificate or an Aadhaar Card. Additionally, a copy of your Jeevika group membership card and bank passbook is mandatory, as the assistance amount will be transferred directly to your DBT-linked account. This scheme is specifically for women who want to contribute significantly to their family income by starting their own business.
