It is useful for reservations in government jobs, financial assistance, and many other facilities. But now there has been a big change in the rules for getting an income certificate in Delhi. Now those applying for the first time will have to strengthen their preparation a little more. Let us know what this new rule is and how you can complete this process.

New rule for the income certificate in Delhi

A big change has been made in the process of applying for an income certificate in Delhi, which will directly affect millions of people. Now, the Aadhaar card has been made mandatory for the application.

Aadhaar is now necessary to get an income certificate

Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena has approved this proposal of the Delhi government. This means that now it will be necessary to provide an Aadhaar card or its number while applying for an income certificate. Whether you apply online or offline, your application will not be accepted without Aadhaar.

The main reason for making Aadhaar mandatory is that it can properly verify the identity and income-related information of the applicants. This will also prevent fraud. Therefore, if you are thinking of getting an income certificate, keep your Aadhaar card and related information ready before applying.

How to apply

You can apply for an income certificate in Delhi both online and offline.

Online application

First of all, log in to the Delhi e-District portal or do a new registration.

Choose the option of “Income Certificate” there.

Fill the form and upload all the required documents.

After applying, you will get a receipt and application number, through which you can track the status of your application.

Offline application

Go to your nearest SDM office or Jan Suvidha Kendra.

Fill the form from there and submit it along with the required documents.

In both methods, you will need a recent passport-size photo, an identity card, and now an Aadhaar card.

After the application is submitted, your verification will be done, and your income certificate will be sent to you upon completion of the process.
