Big Rail Update: UTS Stops Season Ticket Sales, Know How to Buy via RailOne App

We all use the UTS app (UTS Ticket Booking App) to buy railway tickets. However, currently, as soon as the UTS app is opened, a pop-up appears on the phone screen. And it clearly says, “Download the RailOne app.” Because, from now on, monthly passes or season tickets can no longer be bought through the UTS mobile app. Yes, Indian Railways has removed the facility of booking reserved tickets from this UTS app. Now, only can unreserved and platform tickets can be booked through this app.

It has been clearly stated by Indian Railways that local train season tickets or monthly passes will now have to be bought through their new application, RailOne app. And RailOne is a unified railway app, which integrates all railway service applications into a single platform. Currently, this app is available on both Android and iOS. It has all the facilities from booking monthly passes to booking reserved or unreserved tickets, ordering food, cancelling tickets, and checking PNR status.

How to buy a monthly pass with the RailOne app?

To buy a monthly pass or a monthly ticket with the new RailOne app, you first need to download this application from the Play Store or App Store. Then follow the following steps

  1. Download the application and open the homepage.
  2. There, you will see the login or register option.
  3. If you have already registered on the UTS or IRCTC app,
  4. Then use the same name and password to log in.
  5. However, new users will have to register with their mobile number and email ID.
  6. Even if you forget the password, you can click on “Forgot Password”
  7. option and create a new password using the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
  8. Then, after successful registration, users will be able to see the season pass or ticket under “My Booking” on the homepage.
  9. Then, go outside the station and book an unreserved local train ticket or buy a monthly pass by clicking on the “Unreserved” option on the homepage and making the payment via UPI, credit card, or debit card.
