Let us inform you that the country’s largest bank is going to change the charges related to IMPS transactions. SBI has announced a revision in the IMPS transaction charges for its customers. This change will come into effect from August 15. However, its effect will be different online and branch. All the small transactions in it will be free, but some high-value online transactions will be charged a nominal fee. No change is made in the IMPS fee in the branches.

Fees will be applicable on these slabs

For information, let us tell you that the change made will be applicable separately on online and branch channels. There are some slabs on which the new fee will be applicable. For online users, low-value IMPS transactions up to Rs 25,000 will be free. However, transactions worth more than Rs 25,000 made online will be charged from today onwards. Salaried people will get a discount on online transfer.

For information, IMPS is an innovative real-time payment service, which is available 24 hours a day. This service is provided through NPCI. IMPS per transaction limit is Rs 5 lakh.

Who will charge money for IMPS transactions in SBI?

For information, let us tell you that for online IMPS transactions, Rs 2 plus GST will be charged on an amount of more than Rs 25 thousand and up to Rs 1 lakh. At the same time, Rs 6 plus GST will be charged on an amount of more than Rs 1 lakh and up to Rs 2 lakh. After this, Rs 10 plus GST will be charged on an amount of more than Rs 2 lakh and up to Rs 5 lakh. Earlier, these transactions were free.

According to the information, SBI Bank has not made any change in any of the charges made through its branch channels. The lowest branch charge is Rs 2 plus GST, while the highest branch charge is Rs 20 plus GST.
