The state government has launched a special project called Banglar Yuva Sathi to provide financial assistance to unemployed youth in Bengal. The application process for this project has started from February 15. Many have already submitted their applications by visiting the nearest government camp. Many are currently filling out their forms online and submitting them. However, the wise people of Bengal have been raising this issue repeatedly. Now, the green signal has been given. It is learnt that those who receive financial assistance from the state government’s Krishak Bandhu scheme can also apply for Yuva Sathi.
Will you get Yuva Sathi even if you get Krishak Bandhu?
In the recent interim budget, the state’s Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya had proposed the Yuva Sathi scheme to provide monthly allowance to educated but unemployed youth in the state. Later, the Chief Minister informed everyone about this special project by holding a press conference. Along with this, it was clearly stated by the state government that those between the ages of 21 and 41 and whose minimum educational qualification is secondary school pass can apply for this project.
At the same time, the government also said that the residents of West Bengal who have already received or are receiving money from the state government’s schemes like Lakshmi Bhandar and Krishak Bandhu will not be able to apply for this special scheme. However, now it is being heard that even those who have received Krishak Bandhu can apply for the Yuva Sathi scheme. In this regard, an official of the state government’s youth department said in front of the camera that from now on, those who are under the Krishak Bandhu scheme will also be able to apply for Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s dream project Yuva Sathi.
It is to be noted that according to the state government’s guidelines, the application process for the Yuva Sathi scheme has started from February 15. This application process will continue till February 26 until further instructions from the government. Except for holidays, the work of accepting applications is starting from 10 am to 10:30 am at the Swanirbhar Bangla camp every day, which continues till 5 pm. Also, applications can be made online between 7 pm and 9 am.
