A big good news has come from the government for the residents of Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh government has once again started the free pilgrimage scheme for the people of Chhattisgarh. Let us tell you that in the year 2013, the then Raman Singh government started the Chief Minister’s Teerth Yatra Scheme in Chhattisgarh, which was later discontinued by the Bhupesh Baghel government.
Now the Vishnu Dev Sai government has restarted this scheme. Under this scheme, senior citizens of Chhattisgarh will be provided free pilgrimage, which will allow them to visit their deities.

Who will get the benefit of this scheme
Senior citizens of the state will get benefits under the Tirtha Darshan Yojana re-launched by the Chhattisgarh government. Under this scheme, only natives of Chhattisgarh will be able to go on pilgrimage. And that too to those citizens whose age will be 60 years or more.
Let us tell you that from today i.e. March 27, the Chief Minister’s Tirtha Darshan Yojana has started and for this, the first train has also left for Rameswaram and Madurai. This scheme provides a golden opportunity for the elderly to visit religious places and attain spiritual peace.
What is the application process

To apply to the Chief Minister Tirtha Darshan Yojana of Chhattisgarh, you have to get the form from your nearest tehsil or sub-tehsil and submit it. Fill all the required information in the form carefully. Along with this, some related documents will also have to be submitted. Aadhar card, ration card, residence certificate, and medical certificate are mandatory.
If a senior citizen above the age of 65 wants to take an assistant with him, then the application for the assistant must also be attached. The pilgrims will be selected by the collector. This will ensure that the needy and eligible elderly get the benefit of this scheme.
