The Uttar Pradesh Government has given a great gift to the pilgrims. The UP government has started a special scheme for all the devotees going on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. The UP government has launched the Mansarovar Yatra Yojana for the permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh traveling to Mansarovar.
Under this, the UP government will provide ₹ 1 lakh each to the devotees traveling to Mansarovar. UP Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh has announced this scheme. If you or your parents are going on a Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, then you may be eligible for the Kailash Mansarovar Yojana of the UP government. However, you have to apply for it.
Who will get the benefit of UP’s Kailash Mansarovar Yojana
Only those people who are permanent residents of the state can avail the benefit of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Yojana of the Uttar Pradesh government. Along with this, only those devotees will be eligible who undertake this journey through the official Kailash Mansarovar Yatra of the Central Government or a private travel agency and complete it. The amount of ₹ 1 lakh received under this scheme will be given to you after completing the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. That is, first, you have to travel, and after that, you can avail this financial assistance.
How to apply for Kailash Mansarovar Yojana
UP travellers traveling to Kailash Mansarovar are eligible for this scheme. Within 90 days of completing the journey, you have to apply for it by visiting the UP government website www.updharmarthkarya.in. On this website, you will get the option of “Kailash Mansarovar Travel Subsidy”. By clicking on it, you have to complete the application process further.

While applying, you have to submit some important documents:-
Certificate of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra
Aadhaar Card
PAN Card
Residence Certificate
Visa
Along with these required documents, you will also have to provide your bank details. After applying, the UP government will verify the information filled you. If the application is found correct, the UP government will transfer an amount of ₹ 1 lakh directly to your account.
What will happen if you give the wrong information
If you give wrong information during the application, your application can be canceled. If by mistake the government sends ₹ 1 lakh to your account, then the government will also recover that money, and legal action can also be taken against you. Therefore, be very careful and honest while applying.
How many people will visit Kailash Mansarovar this time
This time 750 pilgrims have been selected for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Out of these, 500 pilgrims will complete their religious journey through the Nathu La route, while 250 pilgrims will go through the Lipulekh Pass route.
This journey was stopped in the year 2019 due to Covid-19. After this, it was not started in 2020 due to tension between India and China. Later, it has been started again in 2024 after the consent of both countries. After 5 years, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will resume on June 30, 2025, which is great news for the devotees.
