On the occasion of Independence Day, banks across the country will observe a public holiday on Friday, 15th August 2025. Banking services will be closed at the branch level, but digital services, including ATMs, internet banking, and mobile banking, will remain operational for customers.
During bank holidays, there will be no impact on net banking, mobile banking, or UPI. You will be able to do transactions without any hassle. However, for check clearing or opening a new account, you will need to visit the bank in person. If you need to settle any important bank work, plan accordingly before or after these dates.

August 25 (Monday) – Srimanta Sankardev Tirubhav Tithi – Only Guwahati will be closed.
August 27 (Wednesday) – Ganesh Chaturthi will be a holiday in cities like Mumbai, Nagpur, Chennai, Hyderabad etc.
August 28 (Thursday) – Ganesh Chaturthi (second day) / Nuakhai – Holiday in Bhubaneswar and Panaji.
