Bank Holidays- If you are planning to go to the bank next week, then this news is useful for you. Banks will remain closed for 3 days in some cities of the country between June 30 and July 6, 2025. The reason for the bank closure is regional festivals like Remna Ni, Kharchi Puja, and Guru Hargobind Ji’s birth anniversary. Apart from this, banks will also remain closed across the country on July 6 (Sunday).

Where and when will the banks remain closed?

30 June 2025 (Monday)

Banks in Aizawl (Mizoram) will remain closed on June 30 on the occasion of Remna Ni. It is celebrated as the anniversary of the Mizoram Peace Accord (1986).

03 July 2025 (Thursday)

In Agartala (Tripura), banks will remain closed on July 3 due to Kharchi Puja. This puja is dedicated to Chaturdasha Devta, the tribal deities of Tripura.

05 July 2025 (Saturday)

Banks in Jammu and Srinagar will remain closed on July 05 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind Ji. He was the sixth Guru of the Sikhs.

What services will be available when the bank is closed?

Online banking services remain operational even during bank holidays. You can avail services related to NEFT/RTGS transfer, demand draft, chequebook, and debit/credit card. Apart from this, services like account information, standing instruction setup, and locker application are also available online.
