Bank Holiday: The month of October ends in three days. There have been numerous bank holidays this month. October began with the Dussehra festival. Many festivals, such as Diwali, Karva Chauth, and Chhath Puja, were celebrated with great pomp and show. If you’re planning to visit the bank, there will be a bank holiday on October 31st. Banks will be closed on Friday, October 31st, in observance of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary. However, banks will not be closed in all states. Banks will be closed only in Gujarat.

Every year, on October 31st, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary is celebrated as National Unity Day. He is also considered the Iron Man of India. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played a key role in uniting the country’s 562 princely states after independence and creating a unified India. Therefore, banks in Gujarat will be closed on his birth anniversary, but banks in other states will remain open.

November 1 – Karnataka Rajyotsav / Igas-Bagwal
Banks in Karnataka will be closed on November 1 due to the Karnataka Rajyotsav. Banks will also be closed in Uttarakhand for the Igas-Bagwal festival, which is celebrated 11 days after Diwali.
November 5 – Guru Nanak Jayanti / Kartik Purnima
Banks will be closed in many states across the country. These days are celebrated as Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima, and Raas Purnima. Banks will be closed in many cities, including Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Bhopal, Ranchi, Dehradun, Jammu, and Hyderabad.
November 7 – Wangala Festival (Meghalaya)
The Wangala Festival is a harvest festival. It is a traditional state festival, and banks in Shillong will be closed on this day.
November 8 – Kanakadasa Jayanti
Banks in Karnataka will be closed on the occasion of Kanakadasa Jayanti.
November 11 – Lhabab Duchen (Sikkim)
The Lhabab Duchen festival will be celebrated in Sikkim on November 11, with banks only closed.
